An e-shop for olive oil addicts throughout the world

Casas de Hualdo, the olive oil mill from Carpio de Tajo (Toledo) launches a Web site to reinforce its position in foreign markets, promoting the benefits of the Mediterranean diet and to sell its products. From, shipments of olive oil from this company, which has received several of the most important awards in the industry, are available for Germany, Austria, France, Ireland, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

The focus and contents are adapted to each of the aforementioned countries. Furthermore, the possibility of accessing the e-shop in several languages –Spanish, French, English and German- showcases Casas de Hualdo around the world. In fact, the Web site, which has been operative for a few weeks, is already visited from Finland, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Luxembourg, Poland, Russia or Taiwan.

Until now, the brand had an online shop for Spain, which is still operational for national orders. With both, the company in committed to the online sales of EVOO, which has been one of the pending issues in the industry.

Both the visual design of the Web and its contests promote the excellent properties of the Mediterranean diet through the Casas de Hualdo oils, which promote values such as healthy eating –thanks to the beneficial characteristics of EVOO-; the respect towards the environment –its olive grove in Carpio de Tajo was distinguished with the Top Prize Extrascape 2012 as one of the most beautiful in the world, granted by Italian association MolisExtra in partnership with the prestigious publication The Olive Oil Times– and traditions. It includes a section containing recipes which use EVOO as a base and main ingredient, as well as a blog.

The shop is optimised to provide users with the most complete experience, with a sensory design, devised specifically to interact with olive oil lovers. These can register or make a purchase as guests  (without registering) easily thanks to an intuitive system, which provides the best safety conditions for payments.

With the launch of there is a reinforcement of Casas de Hualdo’s position in the foreign market. The company, which ended 2013 with 475.000 € in sales, has seen its prestige become entrenched due to the number of accolades received in the last year in some of the most important contests in the international olive oil industry. This has enabled an increase in exports, which have gone from 300 litres of oil in Europe in the 2011-2012 season, to 6.200 litres to a dozen of countries (including Russia and China) in the 2012-2013 season. In the current fiscal year, with three months left, of the 54.000 litres bottled by the brand, 17.500 litres have been exported to Germany, Canada, China, the USA, France, the Netherlands, Hungary, Japan, Luxembourg, Poland, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland. It has plans to start sales in the near future in Brazil, South Korea and Mexico.
